Channel Input Port is available for customers using the BARR/PRINT CHANNEL product, who want to send documents to the Spool Window. BARR/PRINT CHANNEL is a standalone product that must be purchased separately.
Channel Input Port is used to receive documents from BARR/PRINT CHANNEL. BARR/PRINT CHANNEL can be installed on the Barr Enterprise Print Server computer or a different computer. The only configuration necessary is matching the port number in Channel Input Port to the one used in BARR/PRINT CHANNEL. When the document is received, it automatically displays in the Spool Window. The document properties, such as format, attributes, and header information are preserved.
