If you have trouble operating Barr Enterprise Print Server and contact Barr Technical Support, a support analyst may request that you run the Diagnostics Utility and send the resulting diagnostic file to Barr Systems. You can select additional folders and files to be included in the diagnostics file from the Diagnostics Utility and the Spool Window. Once the additional files are selected, the Diagnostics Utility automatically gathers the files and compresses Reduces the amount of space or bandwidth needed to store or transmit a block of data. Data compression is also called data compaction. them into a single file that you can send to Barr Technical Support by e-mail or mail.
The additional files you will need to include will depend on how the data is being sent into the spool and its destination. Once you have determined those factors, use the following table to help you decide which additional files to include. Click the links in the following table for information on where to find the additional files.
You can include a log file generated from the Operator Console utility. Refer to the Using the Operator Console to gather diagnostics topic for more information.
