Configuring the host

To configure BARR/CHANNEL Offload, you must configure the host for your device.

The CHPID and CNTLUNIT parameters on the host definition vary depending if you are using an ESCON or Bus & Tag connection.

Configuring the host for ESCON

Use the following host definitions for BARR/CHANNEL Offload using an ESCON device.
