By using the Viewer you can view or reprint documents. The following links show you how to use the Viewer.
Documents are viewed one page at a time. The scroll bar will scroll through the current page.
If you view a document that has overstrike characters, the overstrike characters display as consecutive characters on the Viewer screen.
To open and close the utility, use one of the following methods.
You can display the Viewer utility from the BARR/Web Interface window. The Viewer utility displays when you select a document to view and then select the view option.
Right-click the document you want to view, and then select View.
Select the document you want to view, and then select Document | View on the menu bar.
On the menu bar, select File | Exit.
Click the Close button ( ) on the title bar.
Complete the following steps to select how you would like to view the document, as text, record, or binary codes.
Open the Viewer utility.
On the menu bar, select View | Text, Record, or Binary. See the following table for more information.

You can navigate through documents using one of the following methods.
Complete the following steps to quickly go to a specific page.
Open the Viewer utility.
On the menu bar, select Edit | Go To Page. The Go To Page dialog box displays.
Enter the page number and click OK.
Use the toolbar commands to page through a document.
Open the Viewer utility.
Click the Next Page and Previous Page buttons on the toolbar.
Documents are viewed one page at a time. The scroll bar will only scroll through the current page.
Complete the following steps to search for specific text within a document.
Open the Viewer utility.
On the menu bar, select Edit | Find.
Specify the text you want to find in the Find what box.
Select the direction in which to start your search.
Up – Searches backward, toward the document’s beginning.
Down – Searches forward, toward the document’s end.
Select Match case if you want to find the exact case you specified in the Find what field.
Select Search in column and type the column number in the field provided. This searches for the first character of the search string in the designated column.
Click Find Next.
To find the next instance of the text you specified, press F3 or refresh the Find dialog box and click Find Next.
Complete the following steps to copy text from the document you are viewing to the Clipboard.
Open the Viewer utility.
Select the text you want to copy.
On the menu bar, select Edit | Copy, or click the Copy button on the toolbar.
Complete the following steps to select the font used for viewing documents.
Open the Viewer utility.
On the menu bar, select View | Set Font.
Select the Font, Style, and Size.
Click OK.
Complete the following steps to print the document to a local printer. The document will print with the same font and style shown in the Viewer.
Open the Viewer utility.
From the View menu, select the font. This will be the font used in the printed document.
From the View menu, select the view mode. The document will print in this format.
On the menu bar, select File | Print Local. The Print dialog box displays.
In the Name drop-down list, select the printer you want to print the document.
If necessary, under Print range, select the pages you would like to print.
Click OK.
Complete the following steps to reprint documents. You can set a document to reprint now or schedule it to reprint later. You also have the option of reprinting the entire document or a selected range of pages.
The
Binary view mode does not support
this functionality. The only printing option available to Binary
mode is Print Local.
When using a reprint range to print multiple copies of a document, make
sure you set
both the reprint starting point and reprint stopping point. If the reprint
stopping point is not set, the first copy will start at the specified
reprint starting point, but the remaining copies will reprint as the entire
document.
Open the Viewer utility.
Change to the view Text or Record mode.
If necessary, set the reprint range.
If you want to print the entire document, check the status bar to make sure the reprint range is START - END. If this doesn't display, on the menu bar, select Edit | Clear Reprint Range.
Click the Reprint Now or Reprint Later button on the toolbar or, on the menu bar, select File | Reprint Now or Reprint Later.
If you select Reprint Now and a reprint range has been specified, the Viewer will close and the job will be set to the Ready Reprint state. If you select Reprint Now and there is not a reprint range, the Viewer will close and the job will be set to the Ready state. Jobs will begin printing immediately if their routing criteria matches that of a spool printer and the job is next in the queue.
If you select Reprint Later and a reprint range has been specified, the Viewer will close and the job will be set to the Hold Reprint state. If you select Reprint Later and there is not a reprint range, the Viewer will close and the job will be set to the Hold state. The job will not print until you change the document state to Ready and set the routing criteria to match that of a spool printer.
Complete the following steps to select the range of pages you want to reprint.
The
Binary view mode does not support
this functionality. The only printing option available to Binary
mode is Print Local.
When using a reprint range to print multiple copies of a document, make

You must specify the reprint range and close the Viewer before you close
the BARR/Web Interface
window. The window must remain open for the document to reprint correctly.
Open the Viewer utility.
Change to the view Text or Record mode.
Set the reprint starting point by displaying the page where you want to start printing and then clicking the Reprint Top button on the toolbar or, on the menu bar, selecting Edit | Set Reprint Top. To indicate the reprint starting point, the page break at the top of the selected page turns green.
Set the reprint stopping point by displaying the page where you want to stop printing and then clicking the Reprint Bottom button on the toolbar or, on the menu bar, selecting Edit | Set Reprint Bottom. To indicate the reprint stopping point, the page break at the bottom of the selected page turns red. Your selected reprint range displays on the status bar at the bottom of the window.
