Opening and closing the utility

To open and close BARR/CHANNEL-OUT, use one of the following methods.

The BARR/CHANNEL-OUT utility's Configuration tab is not available for Windows 2000 or Windows XP users. Windows 2000 and Windows XP provides these same functions through the Device Manager.

To open the utility

You can run the utility in either interactive or batch mode.

Interactive Mode – When you run the utility interactively, it displays several tabs with settings you can select. Use one of these methods to run the utility in interactive mode.

Batch Mode – When you run the utility in batch mode, you can select options by entering commands at the MS-DOS prompt. Complete the following steps to run the utility in batch mode.

  1. Display the MS-DOS prompt.

  2. Change the directory to the folder where you installed the software files.

  3. At the command prompt, type the file name followed by a question mark (CHANOCFG ?) and then press ENTER. A list of command options displays.

  4. After you review the command options, return to the command prompt.

  5. Type the command chanocfg followed by the command line options, and press ENTER.

To close the utility
